August’s design instincts have been honed through 30 years of construction and project management experience in the cabinetry and millwork industry.  A trained cabinetmaker, he was owner/partner of a custom cabinet manufacturer, and he brings to each project a strong background in historic preservation, hands-on understanding of the technical fabrication methods and tools of the historic trades, and extensive knowledge of wood species.  He is a faculty member in historic preservation at Harford Community College.  All of the Sunnyfields clients value his advice and insights from initial designs through each step of the process.
